Claremont Community Centre, Pickering, 100 kW, Installed 2014

The system at Pickering’s Claremont Community Centre is not only a high generator of revenue, it is a model of cooperation. This is a joint venture project that was coordinated by Solera, with Veridian Connections and The City of Pickering. Solera introduced an Ontario solar co-operative to the venture, and now residents of Pickering (or anywhere in Ontario) can join the co-op and invest in this, and other projects. There are more than 50 people who are local members of the co-op directly supporting this project. Everyone benefits.
