About This Project
The Western Fair envisioned solar on their arenas but they knew that their roofs may be challenging in terms of their ability to support additional loads. This is why they retained Solera to design and install the 330 kW system, as pictured above. You will notice the unusually wide row spacing of the solar array. Solera designers and structural engineers met the challenge of implementing solar only on the safe roof areas with certified loading capability. Structural integrity to carry the additional load imposed by a solar array is a common challenge that Solera knows how to overcome with astute, professional analysis resulting in innovative solutions.
